Terms of Service

By accessing or using CVWon ("the Service"), operated by CVWon.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and CVWon.com ("we", "us", "CVWon"). Please read them carefully before using the Service.
CVWon is an AI-powered platform that helps users create, optimise and manage professional CVs. Our services include:
- CV builder with professional templates
- AI-powered CV scoring and optimisation
- ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility analysis
- Interview coaching tools
- Job application tracking
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current and complete information.
- Maintain the security of your password and account credentials.
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Free and paid plans. CVWon offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans provide access to premium features as described on our pricing page.
Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current subscription fee via your selected payment method.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your paid period.
Refunds. In accordance with EU consumer protection law, you have the right to a full refund within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase if you have not substantially used the paid features. To request a refund, contact support@cvwon.com.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Payment processing. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details. By providing payment information, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees.
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Create CVs containing false, misleading or fraudulent information.
- Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses or harmful content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
- Scrape, crawl or use automated tools to extract data from the Service.
- Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent.
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this section.
Ownership. You retain full ownership of the CV content you create using the Service, including any AI-generated suggestions you choose to incorporate. CVWon does not claim ownership over your CV content.
No guarantee of accuracy. AI-generated content (including CV suggestions, scoring and optimisation recommendations) is provided as a tool to assist you. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing and verifying all content before using it in job applications.
No employment guarantee. Use of the Service, including AI-optimised CVs, does not guarantee job interviews, employment offers or any specific outcome in your job search.
AI processing. CV content is processed using third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude API) to provide optimisation features. Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
The Service, including its design, code, templates, branding, logos and all associated intellectual property, is owned by CVWon.com and protected by applicable copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal and professional CV creation purposes in accordance with these Terms.
CV templates provided by the Service are licensed for your personal use. You may not redistribute, resell or sublicense templates separately from the Service.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy and consent to the practices described therein.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which CVWon.com is registered, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the EU member state in which you reside. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer under applicable EU consumer protection legislation.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Provide at least 14 days' advance notice via email or an in-app notification.
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
- Post the revised Terms on this page.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may cancel your subscription.
